Lindhaven's Devon Rex: About us

The Name Lindhaven´s is registered in FIFe.
It is a mix from my last name Lindh and haven, haven -place of safety or sanctuary; shelter.

My boyfriend is from Scotland and there is a place called Stonehaven so I got the idea for the name from that.

I am living in Dubai since September 2011, I do like it here but it took some time to get used to living away from my family and friends.

I am from the south Sweden I do miss Sweden alot especially the forests. We live in the Marina area with an stunning view over Burg Al Arab and Burg Khalifa and about 20 min walk to the beach.

I have always had animals, I grew up with horses, cats, dogs, miniature pigs, lissards, and so on.

I went to study animal caretaking for three years and later on was a co owner and worked in the pet shops "Animal corner" in Sweden.
I also had a doggy daycare and my own dog Miniature Bullterrier Pixel.

The Idea of having a cattery has been in my mind a long time, I have always liked dog and cat shows and I started to show and breed guinea-pigs when I was younger, genetics have always been an interesting subject.

We have always had cats in the family, and have had alot of litters over the years. My wardrobe has often been the preferred place for the queen cat to have her litter in. Seeing kittens beeing born and grew up and beeing loved is a fantastic thing. One of the kittens my cousin brought up and she lived a happy life and was very loved she died of age 18 years old.

Gentle eyes that see so much,
paws that have the quiet touch,
Purrs to signal "all is well"
and show more love than words could tell.
Graceful movements touched with pride,
a calming presence by our side
A friendship that takes time to grow
